Carly + David ...Marathon Key!

Carly + David ...Marathon Key!

I had photographed Carly and David for their engagement photos [for which we last-minute ditched our ideal location of Blowing Rocks, Jupiter due to heavy rains, for the other side of the state in Clearwater Beach….turns out it was raining there too;]! It ended up to be an incredibly beautiful session nonetheless.

Then to make the journey to the Keys for them for their big day was a no-brainer for me….and for their guests! They are one of the most loving, caring, trustworthy, stand-up couple that I’ve met in my 17 years of wedding photography.

Carly and David, I wish you nothing but the best in your journey together!

Every now and then I hear the question “do you hire models for photo sessions?” Although the answer is “no,” it is a legitimate question because I have been blessed with some of the best looking clients! Between my couples newly engaged or getting married, to the adorable families I’ve photographed, I could definitely earn the award “best looking clientele!”

And this couple is nothing short of what people are asking about! Kelly and Mike, while yes, totally gorgeous, were also the sweetest people to spend and evening with! They adored and respected each other and were a joy to be around. Thank you, Kelly and Mike, for having me capture you two in this exciting time of life!

Mariah + Christopher ...Minneapolis!

Mariah + Christopher ...Minneapolis!

So Mariah and Christopher hired me to photograph their wedding in Hawai’i, but of course that plan was foiled as covid precautions were much heavier (and longer!) in the islands. Not wanting to sacrifice having all their VIP’s along for the ride, they decided to stay change gears and host it in their hometown of Minneapolis. Of course, this still worked out for me, as Minnesota is where I was raised, and still have family. So I told them “let’s keep our contract as is, we’ll just change locations no problem!”

And what a venue they chose! The Machine Shop is a historical building, part of the Pillsbury mill back in the day. It now hosts many events as it’s located just off the Mississipi, across from downtown. It was a perfect place for the bridal party getting ready, holding the ceremony in the great room, cocktail hour, as well as dinner and dancing!

Congrats Mariah and Christopher, I really would have followed you anywhere for your big day:)

Ayah + Mohamad

Ayah + Mohamad

This couple, this wedding, their friends and family - all wrapped up in one word: FUN! From their engagement photos, for which we jumped from the beach to the intracoastal for sunset, then to their INCREDIBLE traditional Arabic ceremony was literally just such a good time. Great music, all the smiles, and love everywhere.

Congrats Ayah + Mohamad, this was truly a pleasure!

Jessica + Chelston

Jessica + Chelston

I learned that these two spend nearly every evening at the beach together with their dog Desmond, watching the sunset, eating pizza, and just relaxing the day off. Naturally this is how we decided to shoot their engagement photos.

Then for their rehearsal dinner and wedding day, they had rented a historical home in West Palm Beach for their immediate families, and hosted the most intimate, romantic wedding night ever! Being a designer, Jessica put together the beach engagement set up as well as all the decor and details for the wedding!

I was thrilled to be a part of it - congrats Jessica and Chelston!

Ally + Ryan

Ally + Ryan

Some wedding days have all the luck…and the ones that don’t are usually the most memorable and fun days you could ask for! As was the case for Ally and Ryan’s big day. It rained. And rained. And rained! But the show must go on and the party surely continued!

Set at the Winter Park, Florida historical home, Casa Feliz, the courtyard celebration was picture perfect and filled with happy friends and family. Congrats Ally and Ryan, it was a joy to be a part of your big day!

Jaclyn + John

Jaclyn + John

My journey with Jaclyn and John thus far, is all documented here - from the surprise proposal John planned with their closest friends and family, to their proper engagement photos, then also at their courthouse wedding!

This family is near and dear to my heart as I photographed Jaclyn’s sister’s wedding in 2020 [Kacy + Forrest], and have captured many family events and milestones for them since then. It’s been an honor documenting their lives thus far. Congrats Jaclyn + John!

Erin + Josh ...Dallas!

Erin + Josh ...Dallas!

I met Erin and Josh in Dallas for their engagement session. They live and work there and wanted to capture photos in their element, prior to flying out to Florida for their wedding. But the minute we set off on our adventure I learned about their lives together thus far, how they met, fun stories about their travel. They toured me around these places they love, we had a great meal, all while taking pictures along the way.

Scroll down and you’ll see their gorgeous Manor on St Lucie Crescent wedding in Florida! Thanks for a couple incredible weekends, Erin and Josh!

Adriana + Francisco

Adriana + Francisco

I actually had met Adriana and Francisco at their courthouse nuptials [of which I did photograph for them], but they were bummed they had never taken actual engagement photos!

So here we are, having a post-wedding engagement session! I hope nobody feels like there are rules to this whole thing, or a certain order that must be kept. Naturally every wedding is different, as every couple is different! And that’s the beautiful part.

Congrats on your engagement, Adriana and Francisco [as well as your marriage that already has been;]!

Nicole + David ...San Francisco!

Nicole + David ...San Francisco!

My journey with Nicole and David began during their wedding planning. They were all set to get married with countless friends and family in their Florida hometown, where we held their engagement session. During the process, they decided to switch gears and just elope [along with their VIP’s] in San Francisco. Now you know I wasn’t about to NOT travel with them, so here you can enjoy a sneak peek of their incredible destination ceremony.

Congrats Nicole and David, it was a most perfect decision!

Laura + Gustavo

Laura + Gustavo

After having lunch with these two in Delray Beach, we all knew we were destined to be together;] Seriously, it’s refreshing when you walk in to meet your prospective clients/potential wedding photographer, and you just hit it off! So during their engagement session we had nothing short of a fun time, then of course again at their wedding rehearsal, and yep….absolutely the BEST time at their wedding.

Scroll down and you’ll see the ceremony did get moved indoors due to rain, but that did not stop anyone from having the best day ever. I have been floored watching you two navigate this [what could be a stressful time of life] together and in stride, Laura and Gustavo, and I’m proud to have captured some moments for you all throughout.

Congratulations L+G!

Kayla + Jesse ...Minnesota!

Kayla + Jesse ...Minnesota!

Every once in a while I have the immense honor of photographing a friend or family member’s wedding. This adorable red barn wedding took place in southern Minnesota [my old stomping grounds] for my step-brother Jesse and his bride Kayla.

It was the perfect setting for this outdoorsy, country-raised couple [who immediately following the ceremony, went home quick to feed their pet squirrel]! Kayla is such a blessing in Jesse’s life [and vice-versa], so it’s been really neat seeing their story unfold.

Congrats Kayla and Jesse - love you!

Jessica + Nick ...Engaged!

The Worth Avenue Clock Tower shines once more! We had a lovely evening photographing in Palm Beach, but especially because these two are just darling! Easy-going, fun-loving [and it doesn’t hurt when I’m trusted with direction/location completely;].

Congratulations Jessica and Nick, I can’t wait to watch your love grow!

Gabriella + Joe ...Jamaica!

Gabriella + Joe ...Jamaica!

Kicking off the celebration of their upcoming nuptials with an engagement session in Jupiter, FL, these two decided a destination wedding to Jamaica would be an incredible way to start their marriage. [They were totally right;]

Starting their day with an exchange of vows off the beaches of Negril, they continued with dancing in the sand and [no surprise here] ended their evening jumping into the Caribbean! Congrats Gabriella and Joe…it was an absolute trip!

Kristen + Mitchell

Kristen + Mitchell

Day one of festivities for Kristen and Mitchell consisted of the traditional Indian ceremony at The Mansion at Tuckahoe. Full of color, music, good food and smiles all around, this day was one to remember!

Keep scrolling to view their equally gorgeous American ceremony on day two, which was held oceanside at Sailfish Point, complete with a rocket launch at dusk! Congratulations Kristen and Mitchell, and thank you for sharing your culture with us all!

The best gift you receive as a small business owner are the recommendations and referrals from past clients. After being a bridesmaid in another wedding I had photographed, I was honored that Melissa had reached out to me once she too got engaged!

We started our session at the Palm Beach Courthouse, then took a stroll down Worth Avenue before popping some champagne on the beach at sunset. It was a perfect evening for celebrating, and I’m honored to have captured this couple at this fun stage in their lives.

Congrats Melissa and Jay!

Cassandra + Kory

Cassandra + Kory

Thank you to Celebrate Weddings for Cassandra and Kory’s real wedding feature from their Magnolia Manor wedding! With every detail styled to the nines, it was magazine worthy indeed. Thanks also to an incredible team, making their day as incredible as they’d hoped: The Cake Lady, Tastebuds Fine Catering, Mariolka’s Bridal Boutique, David’s Bridal, MOD, Men’s Wearhouse, Harbour Bay Florist and Events, Events by Jade, Rush Entertainment, Ocean Strings, and of course The Mangnolia Manor.

Congrats Cassandra and Kory!

Maria + Kent ...NYC!

Maria + Kent ...NYC!

Many of our Florida weddings are in fact destination weddings. When this is the case, I like to offer to travel to the couples’ hometown to capture their engagement photos in their everyday element. Like quite a few others, Maria and Kent took me up on this as they live [and met] in New York City!

We started at their apartment, with their rooftop view, then made our way to Central Park and finally to one of their fave local breweries. It was so fun to see them in their element - and being the one led around all day was quite refreshing as well!

Congrats Maria and Kent, it’s been an absolute pleasure getting to know you both!

Shannon + Brian

Shannon + Brian

After having photographed her best friend’s wedding, I was so excited Shannon reached out to me for her engagement and wedding as well! We had a super fun engagement session on the docks and sandbar in Jupiter from their boat, which you can view in the previous post.

But the main event [the wedding of course] took place at Frenchman’s Reserve, which is arguably one our our all-time favorite places to photograph! It was an absolute blast, full of super sweet and hilarious speeches, incredible cake, and love all around!

Congrats Shannon and Brian, I’m so happy to have captured this day for you!

Shannon + Brian ...Engaged!

Shannon + Brian ...Engaged!

If any of you have an out-of-the-box idea for your engagement photos, I am here for it! Shannon and Brian, being devoted boaters, knew their photo session must take place on the water. Shannon grew up spending her weekends on the sandbar, so off we went from her waterfront family home, stopping at the Jupiter docks before cruising to the sandbar for sunset.

Shannon and Brian, I look forward to many more adventures with you!
