After having photographed Megan and Jon’s engagement photos oceanside in Jupiter, I was so excited for their big day to arrive! Held at The Addison in Boca Raton, Florida, the beauty of the venue was well-matched for this lovely group of people.

Congratulations Megan and Jon, I look forward to following all your lifetime milestones!

Taylor + Eric ...Key West!

Taylor + Eric ...Key West!

What better destination for a party-style wedding celebration than Key West?! Taylor and Eric’s The Reach Key West Florida wedding was nothing short of an epic time! Between everyone already being on vacation to the ceremony on the pier and dancing in the sand, it was a wedding we’d all love to relive again and again.

Congrats Taylor + Eric!

Samantha + Owen

Samantha + Owen

Having eloped here at the Palm Beach Courthouse earlier in the day, Samantha and Owen enjoyed a photo session with me along the picturesque Worth Avenue to mark the occasion before heading off to a celebratory dinner.

I do recognize the tremendous honor it is that I often get to be one of the few (or maybe only!) people involved in some couples’ big days. As such, not only is capturing these images important, but also to get them to have a good time while doing so! My goal is to direct them enough to get the shot, while at the same time creating moments and some space for them to just be together.

Congratulations Samantha and Owen - here’s to a life full of love and a love full of life!

Maria + Kent

Maria + Kent

“We met on Hinge and had our first date on March 12, 2020. Our first date was Maria’s last day in the office before COVID and we had no idea what was coming. We met at a bar, The Headless Horseman, in Union Square, NYC. We then managed to go on two more dates before spending a few weeks as our parent’s homes to escape NYC during peek quarantines. We kept in touch on the phone and when we both returned to NYC in June, we’ve been together since!” -Kent

“Kent pulled the ultimate surprise and worked with my friends and family to help surprise me. While in Baltimore with my family after Christmas, Kent took me on a walk around my old high school. Kent was met with some challenges as it was a chilly winter day and I wasn’t sure why Kent was insisting to go on a walk. Little did I know, Kent had coordinated with my cousin, who is dean at my old high school, to ensure the grounds were open. This included the “Maryvale Castle,” which was a beautiful old building on the school grounds. Kent had coordinated with a groundskeeper who let us into the Castle and when Kent asked him to take a picture of us, Kent bent down on one knee and popped the question! That wasn’t the end of Kent’s surprises for the day. After dinner with my family, we went to the bar next door and I was surprised to find some of my closest friends, family and Kent’s parents! It was a perfect day!” -Maria

“Our theme for the wedding is “Florida Semi-Formal” with a vision of bright color florals and colors. Living in NYC, and with an early 2023 wedding, we knew we wanted to get married in Florida, where Maria’s parents live, so that the weather would be nicer. As soon as we walked into Benvenuto, we knew the venue was perfect for our vision. It was both elegant and homey.” -M+K

Erin + Kenny ...Kona, Hawai'i!

Big Wave golden ale, deep pink orchids, palm trees, tiki torches, kukui nut leis, a Hawaiian minister, a lei exchange, wooden handheld fans, the ocean, a conch shell blower, a thatched roof tiki hut, live Hawaiian ukulele-ist, green ti leaf leis, photos atop a lava flow, mai-tais, a sunset in the middle of the Pacific, and aloha all around. These are a few of our favorite things!

Congrats E + K on your perfect Royal Kona Resort wedding!

Planning a wedding from afar is not the easiest thing to do (especially post-2020). But these two found an opportunity to head down here to South Florida to get some of their wedding-day must-haves in order. And engagement photos was one of those items! Aside from the additional mosquito friends we accumulated along the way, the SoFlo heat was bearable, and we adventured along throughout the evening, stumbling upon some of the most incredible forest, intracoastal, Atlantic and sunset views.

Here’s to the start of your love story E + A; a story that I can’t wait to continue to capture!

Kristina + Matt ...Engaged!

Kristina + Matt ...Engaged!

You guys! This couple wanted some amazing engagement photos but of course was forcing themselves through it as they typically feel awkward in photos and think they are not photogenic - ummmm - here’s proof that it’s all in your head! Seriously, I know some photographers or certain styles of posing can get uncomfortable and feel so so stiff. But that’s the opposite of my goal. I want to help you feel like you’re just hanging at the beach, going for a stroll (yes, in your fantastic flow-y dress!) with your fave beau. It’s totally possible, I promise…check it out for your selves…

Congrats to you, K + M on your engagement! I cannot wait for your big day!

Ann + Matt

Ann + Matt

I’m so excited to finally share Ann + Matt’s Delray Beach Club wedding! This one was well-awaited and aside from a shortened guest list, this 2020 wedding couldn’t have gone better. This couple has everything needed for a lifelong marriage: love, laughter, respect, and incredible family and friends. It was a joy spending the day witnessing such compatibility. Congrats Ann + Matt, on your happily ever after!

Arielle + Brandon ...Engaged!

Arielle + Brandon ...Engaged!

Sessions like this one remind me how much I love my job! These two were full of love + laughter and were COMPLETELY down for whatever I told them to do;) …Until the very end of the session of course, when Arielle + I ganged up on Brandon expecting him to eagerly frolic in the waves and get totally soaked. BUT we compromised and created the most dreamy in-water images while at the same time, keeping them both happy! That’s what it’s all about.

Congrats you two, on the beginning of your happily-ever-after!

Yuki + Eugene ...Waipio Valley, Hawai'i!

Yuki + Eugene ...Waipio Valley, Hawai'i!

Introducing our first wedding back in Hawai’i 2020! This year has been crazy and so, so hard for so many people. Those of us lucky enough to have just travel and event plans thrown for a loop know just how fortunate we are. It’s these precious moments in life which are magnified with the current climate that we cling so dearly to. All of our love and positivity goes out to Yuki + Eugene as they pressed on with their hopes and plans to elope in one of the most beautiful places on Earth, Waipio Valley on the Big Island of Hawai’i.

Being able to be flexible with their ever-changing plans and dates, we were just so excited to make this perfect day a reality for them. Shot perfectly by team member Jon, they were even able to get to the west coast the next morning to their dream beach, infused with turquoise-blue water and sunshine for some extra beautiful photos post-wedding. Congrats to you both on the start of your forever Yuki + Eugene!

Carly + David ...Engaged!

Carly + David ...Engaged!

Before I jump in and convince you that a rainy day session can lead to THE COOLEST photos, let me tell you what it will take: a c c e p t a n c e.

Meet Carly + David, the most flexible, easy-going, and trusting couple that ever was. Living in Orlando, they were so hoping to get out to the ocean for some incredible sunset photos cliffside at Blowing Rocks State Preserve on Jupiter Island. But of course, it is closed due to COVID. So they settled for the next best option, Coral Cove. Then the forecast came in with heavy rain + thunderstorms. [In rainy season, sometimes it doesn’t make much sense to reschedule since it’ll probably be raining on your rescheduled date as well!] So instead, we changed locations again…that morning we decided to zip over to the other side of the state since they had less of a chance for intense weather. But watching the thick cloud cover on our drive to St. Petersburg, we were happy to have brought our umbrellas for the ‘just-in-case.’ At least it was a light enough rain to forge through. These two rolled with all the punches, and jumped out of the car in amazing spirits! Grabbing the umbrellas and taking each other by the hand, they happily and without complaint or disappointment created an extremely fun session. Could there be a better tone to set for your upcoming marriage? We think not! [And yes, it did rain…the. entire. time.]

So here’s proof that an overcast or rainy-day session does not mean your photos will be boring. Muted colors? Most likely. But more likely, they’ll be DREAMY and FUN, just like your love for each other.

Congrats you two - on a perfect engagement and love and upcoming marriage! We can’t wait to be a part of it all!

Megan + Jon ...Engaged!

We’ve been so excited to get back to work in 2020, and hearing some new beginnings from our couples’ love stories has been so fun! These two in particular had been living together and with their practice run while quarantined, they decided their happily ever after was going to work out well with each other!

Utilizing the gorgeousness of Riverside Park and Coral Cove beach in Jupiter, we were able to bring their pup to their engagement session and of course get a masked-up honorary 2020 shot! Congrats to Megan + Jon on their upcoming wedding, and we can’t wait to continue to capture their love story!

This was one of our first weddings back (from all the 2020 shenanigans), and boy did it deliver! Family and friends eagerly awaited this day for so long couldn’t have appreciated the celebration more. Here in Palm Beach we had the most cheerful sunshiny day, happiness abound during the preparations, a gorgeous private home ceremony, delicious food, a spectacular sunset, and of course, a beautiful couple in love!

Congrats to the newest of newlyweds, Kelly + Mike!

Staci + Josh ...North Carolina!

Staci + Josh ...North Carolina!

As these two lovebirds patiently await their upcoming destination wedding down in the Florida Keys, we headed up for a visit to their home in North Carolina. In my whole career, this was one of my favorite moments with a client thus far [they booked my flights for me, picked me up at the airport, made me breakfast, took me out to lunch where we held a mini session downtown by the marina, showed me around town where they met, first said ‘I love you’, grabbed coffee, took more photos, then held our ‘official’ session at the park…where he proposed!, brought me out for a perfect taco night, hosted me that night at their place, and brought me back to the airport the next day. WHEW! They. Are. Awesome.]

Traveling to our couples for their engagement photos is something we’re now offering, and after spending time with these two in their element, the place they met, fell in love, and LIVE, I see so many reasons why I knew this would be worth it. Whether we hold the session back where you live, or here where you’re getting married, here are our

BEST 5 REASONS TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF AN ENGAGEMENT PHOTO SHOOT:

1] RAPPORT. I say it over and over again, and if you’re listening, you’ll start to hear it ring true. Your wedding is so so special. One of the most intimate days you’ll ever get. You plan your day, full of celebrations with your closest friends and family. And guess who else will be right there by your side all day? ME! It’s such an honor! And what better way to break the ice and get to know each other, so the comfortability is there on your wedding day? I learn your humor, your mood + vibe, whether or not you’ll want me to joke and laugh with you and your VIP’s or if you’d rather me act like a fly on the wall! [Either way is fine with me:]

2] THE PHOTOS. Maybe this should be first, since it’s kind of the whole point. But, whether or not you like to be in front of the camera, holding an engagement session will get you some beautiful photos to hang in your home - and yes, you’ll have some soon from the wedding and I KNOW your dress is IT, but this will give you a little variety in photos of you NOT in your wedding day attire. You’ll also have some incredible and personal images to use on your Save-the-Date cards or in an album which could turn into your guest book at your wedding!

3] PRACTICE IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA. One of you despises having their picture taken. I hear it all the time as if it’s some uncommon thing, but it’s like 60% of you! At least one of you hates being in front of the camera, maybe both. So let the awkwardness ensue BEFORE the big day. Let’s get it out of your system, and put your mind at ease, because I’m good at my job! Yes, I know how to work a camera, how to compose a photograph, all about lighting etc….but a big factor is YOUR comfortability and HOW I direct you during the session. When it’s done right, there are no fake smiles or real posey posey stances, just you two showing some affection and playfulness - your real joy in being around each other - THAT is what it’s all about and is what I am stoked to capture.

4] SUPPORT. Through all the emailing and phone calls during the wedding planning, you know I have your back professionally. I’m timely, I care about quality. I also care about YOU! These sessions sometimes start off with a cup of coffee, then we may drive together to a fun remote location, maybe some hiking is involved. Either way, it’s time I get to spend getting to know you, your individual stories, and what your foundation is as a couple. I’m someone who may be tailing you throughout your life….documenting the big moments that deserve perfect photos - your wedding, honeymoon, your first family picture with your puppies, your first pregnancy, alllllll the firsts for that baby, having anniversaries and vow renewals, your kids growing up, their senior photos, a last session in your first home where you started your family, becoming grandparents…..life is good and will be good for you. So just as your bridal party will always have your marriage’s back, so will I, personally.

5] IT’S FREE! Yes, IT’S FREE! Our engagement sessions come FREE with our wedding packages. Even if you haven’t made up your mind on who will be doing your wedding-day photos, you can hire us to take your engagement photos. Then once you love them so much and you want us to do your wedding as well, we’ll CREDIT you that money to your wedding-day package!

[Should I have led with that?!]. Maybe. Either way, let’s start photographing your love!

Josh + Emily ...Puako, Hawai'i!

Josh + Emily ...Puako, Hawai'i!

She said YES! There couldn’t be a more exciting time in life than when you find the one you want to spend your life with. It starts with the butterflies when you first meet, the anticipation of each moment you carve out to get to know each other, dating, meeting each others’ friends and families, and those big talks of the future and deciding in your heart if this is the person that aligns with your soul.

Josh knew Emily was it for him. In planning a trip to the Hilton Waikoloa Village in Hawai’i, he set up an amazing evening watching the sunset at dinner from an outdoor cliffside restaurant, The Kamuela Provision Company. This was going to be his moment. And of course he was smart enough to have us photograph it for them! It’s a moment so fleeting, so special and memorable, a story that gets retold over and over again, and it deserves to be captured.

Call us biased since we live here, but the Big Island really is one of the most beautiful places on Earth, with truly the best sunset views….it delivered once again and so did team member Hannah who shot these! Congratulations on your engagement Josh + Emily, we wish you an amazing wedding and a wonderful marriage!

Kelly + Doug

What should a Valentine’s Day ranch wedding consist of? Roses, of course. Cowboy boots, jean jackets and a butterfly release….a pink lace dress for your dog, tequila, a Spanish moss-covered oak tree, barn doors and donuts, heart-shaped confetti bombs, and always always always a sparkler exit!

Kelly + Doug, we couldn’t have had more fun at your wedding! May every Valentine’s to come be filled with all the excitement and love we witnessed this year.

Melissa + Jeffrey ...Kona, Hawai'i!

Weddings and wedding planning has become such a to-do, with each bride trying to top the last. It’s when you realize you’re getting a caught up making a big fuss over the smallest details that it’s time to take a step back and look at the big picture. You’re getting married because you’ve found your soul mate, and you want to celebrate that love. Every couple wants to celebrate the beginning of their union a bit differently, and the ones I give to most credit to are those who elope. Because who is the day really about? The two of you. Get dressed up, state some vows you want to promise to your partner, maybe exchange rings, and sign the license that legally binds you. It doesn’t have to be more than that to be beautiful. And these two prove it…the happiness and smiles that exude from them when they see each other and stand before each other for commitment are contagious. May this spark stemmed from intimacy continue for many many years to come. Congratulations M + J!

Weddings put you at the epitome of your style. It’s a time you get to go all out with designers, flair, gold, lace and of course, sparkle! And with their style, these two delivered! From head to toe, florals to table design, there was no shortage of pretty things to see. I’m excited to share Jamie + Andrew’s wedding, which was created in part by the Sundy House, Venues by Valerie, Southern Vintage Decor, A Goode Florist, Jessica with Kiss this Makeup, DJ Doug Poole, and of course film by our Kelilina team member Phil!

Congrats Jamie + Andrew, it was an honor to be a part of your day!

So much laughing, so many smiles, so much love. These two have been through and through but have proven they’re ready for more, so long as they get to go through it together. I believe in these two, and I like them just as much. I couldn’t be more excited for their wedding and to continue the friendship we’ve started!

Congratulations A + Z, you’ve each been blessed with an incredible teammate.
